Mauritius is a tropical island located in the Indian Ocean, some 1000 km to the right of Madagascar. The SSR International airport receives flights from several parts of the world, including direct flights from England, India and Shanghai. The climate is always enjoyable. Summer lasts from November to April, with a temperature of around 27oC and Winter from May to October with an average temperature of 22 oC.

Many people believe that the beaches of northern Mauritius are without compare. Some of the finest examples include the stunning Flic en Flac – shaded by casuarinas trees – the arching curve of Mont Choisy beach, which runs from Trou aux Biches to Grand Baie, and the divine Pereybere cove.

The country is multiracial, with people of Hindu, Christian, Muslim and Chinese beliefs leaving peacefully together. The Mauritians speak the Mauritian Creole, English and French. Many know other languages like the Hindi.

There are several mountains and parks where one can enjoy trekking, quad biking and Tyrolean. There are plants, animals or birds which are endemic to the country. Green forests and sublime waterfalls are present within valleys.
